Please keep this brief — on purpose

We only need enough to work out whether we can help and how urgent it is. A few sentences is genuinely plenty.

Please do not include diagnoses, medical or therapy reports or detailed information about your child’s health at this stage. That information deserves better protection than a web form and an email inbox. Once we have agreed to work together we will set up a secure way to share documents and tell you exactly what is useful.

How we handle what you do send is set out in our privacy notice.

I am…

Optional. Useful if you would rather we rang you.

Optional and only if you are enquiring on behalf of one.

Optional, but do tell us if there is a date on a letter. Some SEND deadlines are very short and we would rather know now.

A few sentences on what is happening. No detail about health, diagnoses or reports, please — just enough for us to understand the shape of it.

Before you get in touch

If you are in the middle of something urgent, please just ring. A phone call beats a form every time when there is a date on a letter.

And if what you need is free specialist advice rather than a paid consultancy, these are genuinely excellent and we would rather you used them: IPSEA for SEND law and your local SENDIASS for impartial local support.

This is not an emergency service

Our working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and we do not monitor messages outside them. We do work during school holidays by prior arrangement.

If a child is at immediate risk of harm, contact the police on 999. To raise a safeguarding concern about a child in Bath & North East Somerset, contact the council’s children’s social care team. For urgent mental health support, call NHS 111 or the Samaritans free on 116 123, at any hour.
